The "Mini-ish" Christmas Shoots are BACK! 🎄✨
Honestly, forget those rushed, 15-minute conveyor-belt shoots where everyone is stressed and the kids are forced to say cheese. We don't do that here! I wanted to completely flip the script and create something actually fun and relaxed.
Enter... The "Mini-ish" Christmas Shoots. We get 30 to 40 whole minutes together, which means zero rushing and plenty of time for your little ones to warm up, play, and just be their cheeky selves. This year we’re setting up at The Hobby Post on Post Office Avenue in Southport. It’s super cozy, and we’re keeping the day strictly capped at just 8 family slots with lovely big gaps in between. That means no bumping into other families at the door and zero pressure! How it works: Instead of stiff poses, we play our interactive "Wrap-Up" game...think cozy layers, eco-friendly wrapping paper (of course), and colourful chaos! The kids get to play, and I capture all the genuine giggles and candid festive magic.
Dates available to book include 7th and 14th November (AM first).
Where are the shoots taking place, and where do I park?
We’re set up at the cozy The Hobby Post on Post Office Avenue in Southport (PR9 0AB), right in the town centre. For parking, the easiest option for families with prams or little ones is Tulketh Street Car Park (PR8 1EQ), which is just a quick 2-minute walk around the corner. There’s also Pay & Display street parking right nearby on Lord Street and London Street.
How long are the sessions?
Each session is 30 to 40 minutes long. I strictly cap the day at just 8 family slots with generous buffer gaps in between. That means you get a super relaxed, un-rushed experience with zero pressure and zero risk of bumping into another family at the door!
How much does it cost and how does payment work?
The total session price is £130. You pay a £50 deposit today to hold your time slot, and the remaining £80 balance is due on shoot day.
What’s included with my session?
Your booking includes your 30–40 minute shoot, 5 high-resolution edited digitals (selected by you from your online preview gallery), and 1 fine-art physical print for your home.
When will we get our photos back?
Within 1 to 2 weeks! Your online preview gallery will be sent straight to your inbox with plenty of time for you to choose your 5 included digitals (and your fine-art print), so everything is ready well before Christmas!
What if my kids won't sit still or aren't in the mood?
Please don't worry for a single second! That's exactly why I redesigned these sessions. We don't do stiff posing or forced "say cheese" moments here. Instead, we play our interactive "Wrap-Up" game with cozy layers, eco-friendly wrapping paper, and cute cheek star stickers. Because we have plenty of time, little ones can explore and warm up at their own pace. Cheeky moments or toddler tears are totally okay—we always get the giggles in the end!
What should we wear?
Think cozy, colorful, and comfortable! Warm knits, cozy layers, and rich festive or neutral tones (like forest greens, deep reds, creams, or warm greys) look gorgeous in the studio. Just avoid large logos, character tops, or stiff formal wear so everyone stays comfortable.
Can I buy extra photos or unlock the full gallery?
Yes! During our session we usually capture 20 to 30+ candid moments. If you want more than your 5 included digitals, you can grab the Full Gallery Early Bird Upgrade for £49 (available in your basket or before shoot day), or upgrade after viewing your gallery for £69.
What time should we arrive on the day?
Please aim to arrive about 5 to 10 minutes before your slot time. This gives you a moment to take off heavy coats, check hair, and let the kids settle in so we can start smoothly!
About The Hobby Post
We are so excited to host this year’s sessions at The Hobby Post on Post Office Avenue in Southport! It is a gorgeous creative hub right in the heart of town with a warm, welcoming community feel. We will be set up in a cozy private room upstairs...the perfect calm space for your little ones to settle in, play, and just be themselves.
Just a quick heads up on accessibility: our studio space is accessed via two flights of stairs and there is no lift in the building. If you are bringing a pram or stroller, you are more than welcome to fold it up and leave it in the downstairs entrance area, or travel light without one!
